Every individual accused of a crime, whether a misdemeanor or a felony, deserves a fair, knowledgeable defense. While prosecutors must prove any criminal charge beyond a reasonable doubt to secure a conviction, they typically have significant resources with which to investigate and build their case. In many cases, the deck is stacked against you because you are working with far fewer resources and less legal knowledge than law enforcement officers and are prosecutors.
Whether you are charged with a misdemeanor theft charge or a felony crime against a person like battery, criminal charges must be taken seriously. A conviction could deprive you of your freedom and give you a criminal record that haunts you far into the future in connection with a job search or housing application. As a person accused of a crime, you should have someone on your side who can hold the government to its own standards and make sure you have a fair shake in a complex system that can be very difficult to navigate by yourself.
Choose an Attorney Who Understands Your CaseMr. Weinberg sees each case as unique. While some lawyers rush their clients through and urge them to take plea deals even when that’s not the best outcome they can see, he understands how important his clients’ cases are to them.
He dedicates himself to figuring out the best defense strategy available to you, and how to distinguish your story from others’ stories in front of a prosecutor, judge, and jury. Whether you’re suspected of a white collar crime like accounting fraud or embezzlement, or you’ve been arrested for burglary and robbery, you deserve to have someone on your side who can protect your constitutional and procedural rights.
He understands how the criminal justice system works, and with many personal relationships with prosecutors and judges, he understands how they think and how to aggressively serve his clients’ interests. You should not answer questions from the police until you talk to him.
